SELECTS CANDIDATES FOR 2009 

The RSA Nominating Committee is pleased to announce that Krista Ratcliffe, Professor and Chair of English at Marquette University, will become President-Elect on January 1, 2010.  In keeping with the RSA Constitution, she was chosen by the Board, on the recommendation of the Nominating Committee, from among current or former Board members.  

The Nominating Committee also announces candidates for seven positions on the Board to be elected this fall: 

For the position now occupied by Janet Atwill (4 year term)

Lawrence Green, University of Southern California
Arthur Walzer, University of Minnesota 

For the position now occupied by Barbara Warnick (4 year term)

Mark McPhail, Southern Methodist University
Lester Olson, University of Pittsburgh 

For the position now occupied by Ralph Cintron (4 year term)

Roxanne Mountford, University of Kentucky
Andreea Deciu Ritivoi, Carnegie Mellon University 

For the position now occupied by Leah Ceccarelli (4 year term)

Vanessa Beasley, Vanderbilt University
Cara Finnegan, University of Illinois 

To complete the term of Krista Ratcliffe (2 year term)

Davida Charney, University of Texas
LuMing Mao, Miami University (Ohio) 

For a Student Board Member position (2 year term)

Trent Kays, University of Arkansas
Kimberley Thomas-Pollei, University of Minnesota 

For a Student Board Member position (2 year term)

Voting will begin on September 15 and conclude on October 15.  Shortly before September 15, you will receive biographical information about the candidates and instructions about how to vote online.
