Florida Career Development Association Mini-Conference

"Inspiring Present and Future Generations: Advocacy and Meaning-Making in Career Development"

John LongThe mini-conference will feature John Long ED.S., BCC, CMCS. John is a professional coach, university instructor and program facilitator. He specializes in career and life coaching, and is the author of the August ‘17 book, Career Judo – The Martial Art for the Mindful Career. John’s work with students and clients takes a strengths-based approach blended with elements of positive psychology and solution-focused change. John has been a contributor to NCDA’s Career Convergence and Career Developments publications and has presented at multiple NCDA Annual Global Conferences. John currently serves on the NCDA Credentialing Commission and the NCDA Committee on Diversity Initiatives and Cultural Inclusion.

 

Additionally, attendees will share experiences, techniques, and resources and be divided into special interest work groups. By attending this mini-conference you will get the opportunity to:

  1. Collaborate with your colleagues and celebrate your work that promotes positive change.
  2. Delve into the wonderful connections among career exploration, values assessment and meaningful work in our ever-changing world.
  3. Enhance your career development toolkit by blending positive psychology exercises into your daily work with students and clients.

NCDA members (non-FCA members) receive a rate of $20.
