NCDA promotes career development through its annual celebration of National Career Development Month. Every November, career development professionals are encouraged to celebrate with career related activities.
NCDA will celebrate National Career Development Day with the annual webinar. This year, the topic of the webinar is “The NCDA Credentialing Commission – Your Partner in Professional Development!” Presented by Constance Jenkins Pritchard, John Long and Cynthia Marco Scanlon, three members of the NCDA Credentialing Commission, the webinar is live on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017 at 2:00-3:00pm (Central Time). Registration is required. Everyone can benefit from this detailed information session on the background, development, delivery and future goals for its five competency based certification programs for practitioners, educators and supervisors within the field of career development.
Again this year, NCDA is sponsoring an annual Poetry and Poster Contest. "Leading the Way to a Future Full of Possibilities" is the theme for this year's contest. Entries will be judged on how they celebrate and inspire career development with a positive tone while emphasizing the national theme. Download the 52nd Annual Poetry and Poster Contest brochure for complete details and deadlines. Practitioners are highly encouraged to enter whether you are in school or not. Your ideas are valuable and worth celebrating!
