ECA - Instructional Communication Interest Group Virtual Business Meeting and Elections

Hi Everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. First, I want to thank those of you who responded to my call for nominations last week. I am happy to say that we had excellent individuals step up to volunteer for our open positions in the interest group. Second, I ask you to please visit the Qualtrics link below before Sunday, April 12th. As we could not hold our business meeting this year, this Qualtrics form includes Old Business such as approving the 2019 minutes, a report on my duties for the 2020 convention, and (last but definitely not least) appreciation for those who volunteered for the interest group this past year. I would like to give a special “thank you” as well to James Baker, who has been a tremendous help to me in figuring out how to hold a virtual business meeting!

I also acknowledge the top paper panel, and these folks will receive certificates from Jennifer in the coming weeks. Congratulations to everyone who had a paper, panel, or roundtable accepted - we had a truly wonderful slate of panels lined up!

Importantly, this form also includes the nominees for Vice Chair and Secretary (i.e., our New Business). Please do take the time to vote before Sunday. Next year’s planner, Dr. Steve Granelli, should be in touch in the coming weeks with information on the 2021 convention.
